What's the difference between an HR-V and a CR-V SUV?

The HR-V is our cross-over SUV. It's compact in size and perfect for people who want all the benefits of an SUV, but without the larger footprint. You're still get better visibility being seated higher than in a car, and it's easier to get in and out of, but it's stil small enough to make zipping around town and parking in those tights posts really easy. But this doesn’t mean it's small inside - Magic Seats give this SUV class-leading space with plenty of room for passengers.

If you are after something larger, the CR-V is the ideal family SUV. You get a choice of models with 5 or 7 seats and truly generous space. With 2WD and 4WD models, fabric or leather options, the CR-V offers 2L or 1.5L turbo engines with excellent fuel economy, a hands-free power tailgate and Honda sensing advanced safety across the range. Can the HR-V and CR-V tow?

The HR-V can tow a small trailer or boat (up to 800kg braking weight). However one needs to be aware of a few limits. The unbraked limit (weight of trailer plus load is 500kg max) and the braked towing capacity is between 500 and 800kg. The unbraked limit is when the trailer being towed does not have its own braking system and has to make use of the car's brakes. Braked is when the trailer being towed has its own braking system.

The CR-V has a braked towing capacity of 1500kgs (1000kg for the Sport 7). What's more, all CR-Vs are equipped with Trailer Stability Assist which is additional safety technology to give the driver peace of mind. Trailer Stability Assist corrects any dangerous trailer swing before it gets out of control. The system also automatically warns drivers behind the vehicle by flashing a brake light on both the car and the trailer.

Leather seats come fitted as standard on these HR-V models: HR-V RS and HR-V Sport NT, and on these CR-V models: CR-V Sport 7, CR-V AWD Sport Premium.
