Honda EssentialCare+ Service Package – Terms and Conditions
Effective from 1st July 2025
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in and use of the Honda EssentialCare+ Service Package (“Service Package”) offered by Honda New Zealand Limited (“Honda NZ”), including all Honda-authorised outlets participating in this promotion.
- Eligibility
1.1 The EssentialCare+ Service Package is designed specifically for:
- Japanese used import Honda vehicles
- NZ-new Honda vehicles aged 7 years or older
1.2 The vehicle must be registered and roadworthy at the time of booking.
1.3 Honda vehicles used for commercial purposes (e.g., taxis, ride-share, courier) are also eligible and can take advantage of this Service package as per the vehicles servicing schedule.
- Service Inclusions
2.1 The Service Package includes the following as per the scheduled service checklist provided at the time of booking:
- Honda genuine Engine oil replacement
- Honda genuine Oil filter replacement
- 35-point Safety & operational checks / inspection (including brakes (externally), suspension, tyres, lights, etc.)
- Top-up of essential fluids with Honda genuine fluids
- Diagnostic scan only when malfunctions warning lights are on (where applicable) – the initial scan will be covered under the EssentialCare+ service. Thereafter any further diagnostic checks and work will be quoted separately and only undertaken with customers approval.
- 12V Battery health check
- Service report and recommendations
2.2 Any additional work or parts required outside of the EssentialCare+ package scope will be quoted separately and only undertaken with customer approval.
- Pricing
3.1 The EssentialCare+ Service Package is available nationwide at a fixed price of $249.00 as advertised by your servicing Honda Store.
3.2 Prices are inclusive of GST.
3.3 This package cannot be combined with other promotional offers unless explicitly stated.
- Booking & Availability
4.1 The EssentialCare+ Service package must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
4.2 Honda NZ and its authorised Honda Stores reserve the right to reschedule or decline appointments in the event of unforeseen circumstances or workshop capacity constraints.
- Warranty & Quality Assurance
5.1 All work carried out under the EssentialCare+ Service Package will be performed by Honda-trained technicians using Honda genuine parts.
5.2 Labour and parts used under this package are covered by Honda NZ’s and its authorised Honda Stores standard parts and labour warranty, unless otherwise specified.
- Exclusions
6.1 The following are not included in the Service Package unless specifically listed:
- WOF (Warrant of Fitness) inspection
- Tyres, wheel alignment, or balancing
- Windscreen wipers or washer jets
- Engine or transmission repairs
- Bodywork, cosmetic or electrical repairs
- Accessories or modifications
6.2 Any pre-existing issues or damage found during the service are not covered under this package.
6.3 The EssentialCare+ Service Package is not eligible for, and expressly excludes, high-performance Honda models, including the Civic Type R, Integra Type R, S2000, and NSX.
- Transferability & Refunds
7.1 This package is non-transferable and non-refundable once the service has commenced.
7.2 If the vehicle is sold or ownership changes prior to service being redeemed, the package will lapse unless otherwise agreed in writing by Honda NZ.
- Changes to Terms
8.1 Honda NZ reserves the right to amend or discontinue the EssentialCare+ Service Package and its terms at any time, with or without prior notice.
8.2 Any changes will be posted on [Honda NZ website] and will take effect immediately unless stated otherwise.
- Dispute Resolution
9.1 Any concerns regarding services received under this package should first be raised with the servicing Honda Store.
9.2 If unresolved, matters may be escalated to Honda New Zealand Customer Care at customercare@honda.co.nz.
- Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of New Zealand and subject to the jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
